Despite german armor almost always landing their shots on allied armor these superheavies often times bounce shots they've no business bouncing. This perhaps could be an intended aspect of the OKW style, but when this is combined with the superheavies at their dispense such as the Konigtiger. This also allows OKW players to skip armor production for the first 15-20 (sometimes even 25 depending upon map) min of the game. I regularly witness players clump 3-4 volks squads with panzershecks together and this is capable of making aggressive movements against armor columns. However this is no longer the case as OKW's primary infantry unit can be upgraded with a panzersheck. When it comes to the soviets atleast german armor originally didn't need to face large numbers of squad weapons capable of wiping armor. Lately a common trend I have seen being used by OKW players which two years ago the developers of the game were insistant upon preventing with the soviet faction is infantry spam. It seems that the overabundance of OKW AT accessibility, low cost of OKW spam, and late game armor which out performs its economic cost means that in current state OKW is hands down both the most user friendly (in terms of how much the player needs to micro) and over powered. Theres hardly a proper balance with Russians v OKW either.
